A volatile brush fire pushed by 60 mph winds rushed throught the Northern San Fernando Valley today, destroying homes before jumping the 210 and 5 Freeways.

Residents were left homeless as embers ignited fires across the Sylmar area.

The blaze is reported to be burning west toward areas scorched by October’s Sesnon Fire in Porter Ranch. Sylmar residents have been left without shelter or power, and many area hospitals do not have access to working generators, leaving Sylmar area medical practitioners to come up with ad-hoc solutions to care for the critically ill.

Powerful Santa Ana winds up to 70 mph have been forcast throughout Saturday afternoon and evening, with warnings in effect for the canyons and valleys of Los Angeles and Ventura Counties.

Los Angeles Fire Chief Donald Frazeur cautioned people not to visit the area.

“We are encouraging Angelinos not to come to this area, to avoid this area … we need these roads clear,” he said. “This is a large area, this is a heavily concentrated area and there are a lot of people standing around watching this instead of leaving,” he said.

Officials described the Sylmar, CA blaze as moving southwest away from Sylmar along the northern boundary of the city of Los Angeles with much power to it.

I would like to say that Midway is saving the best for last, but I would be lying. Lui Kang’s fatality is straight up camp, and makes no sense unless it is from the DC Universe, and they are looked at as characters in said universe. Or maybe it is from Johnny Cage’s movie. Either way, no gore, more camp. Atleast there is a glimpse of a Batman brutality.
